After Sunday's drive to Fredericksburg, we spent Monday and are spending today visiting with Nan and Mike and nursing our colds. Yes, Erick came down with one yesterday. He seems to have gotten a lighter dose.
Yesterday, I ventured out with Nan to the Fredericksburg Art Guild's gallery (http://fredericksburgartguild.org/). She's an artist and member of the guild, and was arranging to pick up pieces from an artist for hanging at one of the local wineries. Below are two examples of her own art:
Mike made a chicken stir fry for dinner last night and Nan baked walnut brownies for dessert. Lorrie, Marc and Ann joined us for dinner and conversation.
Later, we joined Nan and Mike in watching an Antiques Roadshow program filmed in Detroit. One of the most interesting appraisals for me was this one: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/roadshow/archive/201301A06.html
This morning we woke up to find ice on the Prius's windshield and temperatures in the 20s F. It's expect to warm up to near 40 F today. We should have decent traveling weather when we set out across Texas tomorrow.
